I’ve got to got to do something.
I’ve got to study, make friends, speak to people, think about myself, and… lots of things.
Anyway, I’m going to Gent, Brussel, and Amsterdam next weekend.
First, I’ve got to enjoy going there.
Oh, I’m looking forward to it!

One more thing.. I’ve got to learn how to play a musical instrument!!
And this 10 year old Korean boy makes me want to learn how to play the guitar!!

I woke up so early yesterday morning. The outside was still dark and I looked at my alarm clock. It was 4am but I wasn’t tired but really thirsty so I went downstairs to get some water. I drank cold water from the fridge and took the bottle to my bedroom. When I went back to my bedroom I was totally awake and thought it was just an unusual start of a day. However, unfortunately, it wasn’t. I felt that something is happening in my mind and I knew it was going wrong. I felt the day was really long and I couldn’t concentrate on anything. It was difficult to stop thinking about some.. OMG! I cannot say anything more.

I was near Euston station because I had something to do there and I met my friend who studies at UCL for his master degree. He showed me around the college and I am using the internet in UCL.

Although I am not sure it was last year or the year before the last year, I remember I was here once. I was walking around the campus(in contrast to many universities in Korea, the fences which divide the campus and the town do not exist in most colleges in London) and there were few people in the campus and it was very calm because it was just after the term but the atmosphere is completely different today. 키보드를 질렀습니다. 사실 간판만 컴퓨터 전공이지 키보드는 그다지 많이 두들기는 편이 아닙니다. 요즘들어 힘든 생활을 이어가면서 캄캄한 앞길에 두려움을 느끼고 뭐라도 준비를 해야하지 않나 하는 생각이 들었습니다. 그나마 티끌만큼 알고있던 것들도 군입대와 함께 날아가버린 지금, 정말 처음처럼 시작해야겠다는 생각과 함께 두꺼운 교과서를 펴고 이제부터라도 키보드를 사정없이 두드리기로 마음먹었습니다. 훌륭한 목수는 연장을 탓하지 않는다지만; 열공하기 위한 투자로 생각하기로 했습니다. 뭐, 대충 이런 핑계로 질렀습니다;; Read the rest of this entry »

지난 11월 2일부터 11월 8일까지, 일주일간 런던 바비칸 센터에서 2007 런던한국영화제가 열렸습니다. 전혜정 주영국대사관 공연예술팀장님(이하 팀장님)과 함께 공동 기획/진행 책임자인 제이슨의 연락을 받고 자원봉사자로 영화제에 참여하게 되었습니다.

가능하면 복장을 갖춰오라고 하던 말에, 출발 전부터 약간은 부담이 됩니다. 가진 옷이라고는 너덜너덜 지저분한 청바지와 다 떨어져가는 운동화가 대부분이지만, 나름대로 자켓도 걸치고 갑니다. 하지만 정말 말도 안되는 복장입니다. 촌스러움과 어색함, 창피함이 말과 행동에서도 그대로 묻어나옵니다. 바비칸 센터에 가서 팀장님과 제이슨에게서 행사일정과 해야할 일들을 교육받습니다. 바비칸 센터는 영화, 미술, 음악 등의 전시/행사/공연등을 할 수 있는 문화회관 같은 곳입니다. Read the rest of this entry »
